January 9th Winter Market
We’re dusting off the holiday cobwebs and putting together the next market. This one is January 9th and appropriately, is all about Resolving to Eat Better. Did you eat too many naughty things? Too many packaged and processed goods that came from far away? Why not pop by the RCFM Winter Market and pick up some local goodies and eat better with us?
We’ll also have a cookbook swap at the market to help get those creative kitchen juices going! Shoppers can swap a book for a similarly-valued book or buy a book for a minimum $1 donation to the food bank.
Our kids’ activity this market will be sponsored by the Fraser River Discovery Centre. As well, summer market favorite Ron Ulrich will be entertaining us with his classic rock covers. Popular summer face painter, Allyson Grant, will also be there to add a little colour to your face!
The New Westminster Environmental Partners will be there as well, to promote their Community Garden Initiative, as well as some of their other many projects.
Finally, Tashu Shotowa Karate will also be there for a (weather dependant) demonstration and info about their classes to help you fulfill other common New Year’s Resolutions.
Holy Trinity Cathedral is located at 514 Carnarvon Street in New Westminster. It is a short walk from Columbia Skytrain Station. Free parking is also being supplies courtesy of the City of New Westminster in the downtown Waterfront Parkade, a short trip from the Church.
