Carolyn Stewart

Born & raised in the outskirts of Sudbury, Ontario with 4 older brothers. Lots of stuff happened then more stuff happened then I moved to Montreal. That’s when I started to really write music and keep it on paper, and cassettes so I could remember the songs for later.

In 1993, I began busking in the metros of Montreal to see if I should remain a couch musician or keep performing in public :-)

In 1994 I moved to Vancouver, married a wonderful man, started a family and put the music on hold as we kept busy with the 3 kids.

In 2005, my emotions got the best of me and I began writing again and playing just to get through how I was feeling. I realized how much I enjoyed writing & singing and just couldn’t stop.

In the summer of 2006, won a karaoke contest at the Marine Pub, the prize was 2 days in a recording studio. “Living on the borderline’ was the song Geraldo Dominelli worked his ‘magic’ on. It was nominated & won the ‘Best Christian/Spiritual’ song of 2006 on an independent music site IACmusic.com. This was a huge boost as other musicians nominated and voted for it.

I can’t express enough how grateful I am to be joined with such supportive musicians & friends. They are willing to stick with me to see how far we can go and to see how much fun we can have. My own husband & kids have been a wonderful encouragement to me, letting Mommy go play in a band. God continues to lead me in a positive exciting direction.
