I was gonna go with Team Eggplant, because a good baba ganouj beats buttered artichoke leaves, but then I remembered the awesomeness that is artichoke & asiago dip … plus artichokes look so pretty in the garden. Ok, so I switch sides. Go Team Artichoke!
Artichoke gets my vote. Eggplant happens to be the one and only on my list of hated foods. I know it’s wrong to hate, but I wish the vile purble bulb would return to the pit of flavour hell that spawned it! Just my crazy opinion, of course:)
Artichoke, for sure. Eggplants soak up too much oil.
eggplant – because it’s an early underdog here and then i can get all fancy and refer to it as an ‘aubergine’ – i really love that word. and the glossy colour. unfortunately, this book-by-it’s-coverness gets me a veggie that i buy for it’s looks (did on thursday at the market!) and i never know what much to do with…
Team artichoke can taste the artichoke and asaigo dip right now
baba ganouj, eggplant parmesan and mousaka- eggplant for me!
Team artichoke if I must only pick one of the two. I recently started eating more eggplant (in lasagna or on a kabob with other veggies). Artichoke is delish and extremely versatile when using it in meals!
Yummmm!
